Have you seen the movies "The Wizard of Oz" or "Oz"? You know the films with the yellow brick road in them. ("follow the yellow brick road"🎶 or "ease on down the road"🎶) Life at times feels like those movies. Sometimes our paths in life aren't paved with gold or, if it is gold, you still run into obstacles.
I've learned for myself that God didn't say all the roads of life will be easy, nor did God say we will never have to deal with hard times. But He did say it's on the difficult roads we gain knowledge, experience, wisdom, growth, and compassion for others. It's there where He begins to shape us for our future.
Paul said ...we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: and hope maketh not ashamed... Romans 5: 3-5
When we read people's autobiographies throughout time, including the Bible. We find many great people become prepared for their purpose on the challenging roads in their life. It didn't matter if they were rich or poor, male or female. There were times of struggle, conflict, and crossroads.
So, why would I believe I don't have to go through the same? 🤷🏽♀️
I'm on one of the most challenging roads of my life right now, but God told me, "it's difficult but not impossible."
That sparked a 🔥 in me.
I took it to mean that 🆈🅴🆂 it will be challenging, but I have to put on my big girl boots, dig my feet in, go through the obstacles and remember I 🅲🅰🅽 do all things with Christ who strengthens me.
So, that's what I'm doing, but my truth is, some days, I feel like I can take on the world, and I'm skipping down the road, taking on challenges. Other days everything is fighting against my purpose, and I'm stuck in the trenches crying to God. However, my mind is made up.

⛔ I won't give up and surrender.
⛔ I wouldn't switch paths for something easier.
⛔ I wouldn't switch paths for something easier.
My greatness is on the path God has me on right now and I must stay the course if I'm going to get to my Emerald City.
I want to reach my mountain top but forget I have to go through the valley to get there. To handle what God has for my future, I have to go through the journey that prepares us for it. Just like we don't give a teenager the keys to a Porsche without taking him through the steps of learning how to drive behind a Nissan first.
There is a saying, "difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations." Stay the course, even when it gets rough. God's plan for your life will lead to a beautiful destination.
My story for God's Glory.
